November has us already planning gifts for the coming holidays. Our small business highlight this month puts the spotlight on Barefoot Anchor, owned and operated by Nikita Mollenhoff. Nikita handmakes the most amazing custom wood signs and ornaments boasting sass and southern charm.

She got her start by simply enjoying paint parties and realized she had a calling for providing her art to others. With encouragement from her boyfriend, she started Barefoot Anchor in December of 2017. Her pieces are available at One Rose Decor in Midlothian, the Red Poppy Pickin' in Mechanicsville, as well as meet ups in Charles City where she resides.

Nikita also can do special orders and works diligently to get exactly what each customer wants even if it goes outside her comfort zone. On the horizon, Barefoot Anchor is looking to expand it's business reach by getting involved with more local businesses and to start holding events with those business.
