While most teenagers are sleeping in on Saturday mornings, Chris Knight Jr. is busy at his bakery, Cookie Chris, filling the air with the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies. From classic chocolate chip to inventive flavors like Cinnabon and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Knight’s creations have quickly made Cookie Chris a local favorite in Williamsburg.

From Hobby to Business

Knight’s love for baking started in his grandmother’s kitchen and grew during the pandemic. What began as home deliveries soon turned into a storefront on Richmond Road in August 2022. Balancing high school, basketball, and running a bakery isn’t easy, but with help from his parents and staff, Knight makes it all work.

A Recipe for Success

Knight’s cookies are known for being “crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside.” Weekly rotating flavors range from classics like chocolate chip—his best-seller—to playful creations like Fruity Pebbles and Birthday Cake. Inspired by his imagination and favorite snacks, Knight crafts cookies that are as unique as they are delicious.

For Knight, Cookie Chris is about more than great cookies; it’s about creating an experience. The vibrant decor and cozy seating make it an inviting spot for locals, students, and tourists alike. Balancing Big Dreams

In addition to running his bakery, Knight is a 4.0 student and starting point guard for Warhill High School’s basketball team. He’s also applying to top universities, including Harvard and Yale, with dreams of becoming a lawyer one day.
